He is survived by: his parents, James Thomas "Tommy" Spell (Brenda) and Dianne Gillam Curry; his children, Blake Lloyd and Payton Spell Nesmith; his fiancée Krystal Gandy; his sister Dana Gannon; his stepsister Crystal Shaughnessy (Mike); his brother-in-law Jamie Gannon; his niece Sara Beth Gannon; and his nephew Matthew Gannon.

Contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.

“At times like this as we lose one of our love ones and a friend it’s hard to think of the words to say, my heart goes out to Brandon's mom and dad and his sister and his children and all of his family and friends I have known Tommy the father since I was 10yrs old back when Tommy was my Big Brother from the Big Brother and Little Brother Association so I have known Brandon and his family for over 40yrs and I know that he comes from a loving and caring family my heart goes out to the family RIP”
