He was predeceased by: his parents, Odie C. Matthews, Jr. and Mary Keefe Stumpf; and his sister Marilyn M. Godwin (Ray). He is survived by: his wife Mary Edmund Matthews; his nieces, Amy G. Tinsley and Amelia G. Kelly (Kyle); and his nephew Mark Godwin (Chad Bulloch). He is also survived by other extended family and friends; and his fur baby.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, Gentiva Hospice or the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
