He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Ellison and Mattie Dewitt Moody; his wife Joann Cross; and his siblings, William Dewitt Moody and Martha Ann Norwood.
He is survived by: his children, Stevenson R Moody, Jr. (Marlene), Elbert Russell Moody (Donna) and Harriett Weatherford (Jamie); his brother Ellison Moody (Judy); and his brother-in-law J. D. Norwood. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Layton-Anderson Funeral Home (4210 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at the Lake Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery (6568 Oates Hwy, Timmonsville, SC 29161).
