It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Meyers Carter (Florence, South Carolina), born in Paragould, Arkansas, who passed away on March 17, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Fahr and Dorothy Richardson Fahr; and her spouse Cleburn F. Carter (Sonny). She is survived by: her children, Danny Meyers (Lurlene), Renee Meyers Kirby (Dickie) and Novella Prince; her sisters, Lola Whitaker (Perry) and Verneda Jackson; and her grandchildren, Danny I Meyers (Joy), Jacob M. Meyers (Brie), Katherine Kelsey Meyers, Darol A. Kirby (Stacy), Kylie K Perry (Chaz), Joseph B. Kirby (Jordan), Philip H. Prince II and Walker M. Prince. She is also survived by seven great -grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
