With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shawn Hobson Peters of Florence, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 30, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Johnny F. Hobson and Gale Bischke Hobson; her husband Patrick J. Peters; her children, Kaylee Gibbs, Hannah Gibbs, Cydney Turner, Kristen Gamble (Wayne), Caroline Peters and Donnelly Peters (Sara); her sister Angie Bessenger (Jimmy); her nephews, Tyler and Christopher; and her grandchildren, Laura Grace Gamble, Olivia Gamble, Konner Gamble and Maggie Jones.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 3rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Layton-Anderson Funeral Home (4210 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the First Free Will Baptist Church (2624 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 at the Mount Hope Cemetery (100 Cherokee Rd, Florence, SC 29501).
