She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Owens and Elizabeth Rush Owens; and her siblings, Faye Owens Haack (Michael) and R. Clark Owens, Jr. (Connie). She is survived by: her husband William R. "Bill" Newman, Jr.; her daughter Kimberly Newman Yarborough (Edwin); her granddaughter Ashley Yarborough Luckett (Jason); her great grandchild Alexander Jameson Luckett (Mira); and her sister Sybil Owens Lipford (Ralph).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gentiva Foundation, formerly Community Home Care & Hospice.
