It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruben T. Deas Jr. of Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Troy Deas Sr. and Susie Belle Earp Deas; his sons, Donald Deas and Gerald Deas; and his siblings, Tim Deas, David Deas and Rachel Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Ruth Lightsey Deas; his children, Mark Deas, Christopher Deas (Krystal), Kevin Deas (Kristie), Johnny Ruben Deas, Wanda Reynolds (Randy), Tina Deas and Charman Locklair; and his grandchildren, Caleb Deas (Jade), Cayla Locklair, Cameron Locklair, Donald Langley, Nikki Langley, Matt Rollins, Ethan Deas, Max Deas, Brooke McAdoo (Devin), Hudson McAdoo, Tinsley Deas, Erin Deas and Wyatt Torado.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Palmetto Street Church of God (3132 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
