With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Hampton Young (Florence, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 10, 2024 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Judith Yarborough Young. He is survived by: his father Johnnie H. Young; his wife Melody C. Young; his daughter Dr. McKenzie C. Young; his brother Micah; his sister-in-law Christy; his nephew Thomas; his sister-in-law Tara Wiggins; his nephew Matthew Gardner; his nieces, Taylor, Rachel and Carla; and his brother Kevin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Baptist Church (2401 Claussen Rd, Florence, SC 29505). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
