He is survived by: his parent Cornelia O'Neal Welch; his daughter Brandi Elizabeth Welch Sheppard; his stepchildren, Heather Page (Scotty) and Phillip Johnston; his sister Judith Welch Lee; his nephew Jason Carraway (Renee); his parent-in-law Tommy Jeffers; his grandchildren, Joanna, Madison, Dylan Page, Dawson Turner, Zayden Johnston, Logan Sheppard and Alex Sheppard; and also Christine Jeffers.
