He was predeceased by: his parent William Ralph; and his wife Helen Jeanette Cannon Sexton. He is survived by: his parent Dessie Holmes Sexton; his stepchildren, Robert Thompson of Little River, SC, Helen Hughes (Sidney) of Lumberton, NC, Rick Thompson and Marcia Thompson; his nephews, Tony Peoples of La Pine, OR and Ricky Peoples of Porterville, CA; and his sisters-in-law, Janet Cannon of Florence and Debbie Thomas Gulledge (Jerry) of Effingham. He is also survived by four step-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
