She was predeceased by: her parents, Redden Taylor and Lola Taylor; and her former husbands, Mitchell DeBerry Palles and James William Truluck (Bill). She is survived by: her children, Emily Palles Tompkins (Warren) of Columbia, SC and Mitchell D. Palles, Jr. (Liz) of Savannah, GA; her grandchildren, Mitchell D. Palles, III, Taylor D. Tompkins, Mary Crane Palles Orne (David) and Jack W. Tompkins, IV (Nora Kate); and her brother-in-law Louis M. Palles, Jr. of Florence, SC. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Central United Methodist Church, 167 N. Irby Street, Florence, SC 29501 or to the charity of one's choice. "I have called you by your name, you are mine." (Isaiah 43:1).
