She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley Lankford and Frances Green Lankford; her husband James Larry Barnwell; her sons, James Larry Barnwell, Jr. and Brian Keith Barnwell; and her siblings, Frances Milbrodt and Donald Lankford.

She is survived by: her children, Steve Allen (Lynn), Charles Ray Barnwell (Lynn) and Katherine Grossman (Martin). She is also survived by several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
