It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nell McCoy Loflin Yochum of Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on April 1, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Henderson and Ruth Surratt Loflin; her husband John Edward Yochum; her sister Doris Loflin Holbrook; and her grandparents, J. C., Ida Loflin, Alva McCoy and Sarah Etta Surratt.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Earle Pleasant and David Henderson Pleasant; her granddaughters, Sarah Elizabeth "Bebe" Pleasant and Grace Xin Chu Pleasant; her nephew Thomas Dewey Harris; and her great-nephew Paul Harris.
The family asks that donations be made to All Saints Anglican Church in Nell Yochum's honor in lieu of flowers.
