He was predeceased by: his parents, William Samuel and Bertha Carroll Blackburn; his wife Lela Malpass Blackburn; and his siblings, Ernest Blackburn of Roland Blackburn, Lucille Patrick, Lois Bunn, Mary Edens and Virginia Oliver.
He is survived by: his sister Pauline Baldwin (Larry) of Siler City, NC; his children, Darryl Blackburn (Carla) of Florence, Kevin "Bunky" Blackburn (Faith) of Parkland, FL and Toni Blackburn Powell (Larry) of Florence, SC; his sister Virtie Baldwin; his close friend Sallie Oates; and his friends, Karen, Edna, McLeod Hospice, Penny, Peggy, Rochelle, Ronnie, Michael, Glenn and Greg. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.
