It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Jean Morant (Florence, South Carolina), who passed away on July 4, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Morant, and Florence Marie Purvis Morant, Sr.; and her siblings, Morris Morant, Jr., Bernard Morant and Patricia Morant (Willie Lucas).
She is survived by: her son Kevin Lucas; her sisters, Belvia M. Pointer and Betty Jackson (Alphonso); her cousin Frankie Pompey (Juanita); and her nephew Harry Pointer. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews and cousins.
