She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Raymond Young, Sr. and Celeste Thanos Young Schultz; her husband Emmanuel "Paul" Ritch, Sr.; her brother Edward Raymond Young, Jr.; and her daughter Brenda Cruz.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Purvis (Gary) of Darlington, Jimmy "Wayne" Hilton, Jr. of Monroe, NC and Frankie Hilton of Florence; her adoptive son David McClain (Debbie) of Spartanburg, SC; and her sisters, Ann Neiman (Bill) of Lincoln and Linda L. Outcault (Vanessa) of Hanahan, SC. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and nine-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waters-Powell Funeral Home (400 S Dargan St, Florence, SC 29506). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at the Florence National Cemetery (803 E National Cemetery Rd, Florence, SC 29506).
