She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Blanche Greer Clapp and Edwin Marcus Clapp; her husband Dr. Charles Lamar Hattaway, Sr.; and her siblings, Marcus Clapp, Roger Clapp, Rudolph Clapp, Jack Clapp, Martha Tyler and Helen Clapp.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Lamar Hattaway, II (Denise) of Bluffton, SC, Janet C. Bodiford (Bill) of Bluffton, SC, Carey D. Hattaway (Amy) of Bluffton, SC and Mary Helen Watters (Dan) of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
