She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Purvis Collins and Clyde M. Collins; her husband John Wesley Barr, Sr.; and her grandchildren, Jamie and Kenneth Smith.
She is survived by: her children, John Wesley Barr, Jr. of Savannah, GA, Sherrie Smith of Darlington and Bonita "Bonnie" B. Strickland (Michael W.) of Lexington; her grandchildren, Jennifer McAlhany (Wally), John Wesley Barr, III, Damita Holcomb (Scott) and Kerry Hershey (Brian); and her siblings, Danny Collins (Trudy) of Florence and Marie Liner (Earl) of Florence. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
