She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia McElveen of Florence, Joyce White Strickland (Mike) of Olanta and Linda Newsom (Louis) of Effingham; her grandchildren, John Newsom (Crystal) of Conway, SC, Casie Jackson (Tony) of Johnsonville, SC, Ryan McElveen (Pam) of Florence, SC, Kevin McElveen (Christine) of Timmonsville, SC, Felicia White (Michelle) of Olanta, SC, Brandon White (Danielle) of Olanta, SC, Cody Miles of Olanta, SC, Tyler Miles (Delani) of Florence, SC and Brianna Phillips of Florence, SC; and her brothers, James Simmons of High Point, NC, J. C. Simmons of Jacksonville, NC, Johnny Simmons of Wilmington, NC and Waylon Simmons of Shallotte, NC. She is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren.
