With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Luther Samuel (Florence, South Carolina), born in Athens, Georgia, who passed away on October 21, 2018 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Nattie Lee Butler; his son Jimmy Butler of Florence; his sister Minnie Lee Butler of Columbia, SC; his grandson Paul Butler; his close friend Louise Jacob; and his pet Midnight.
He is survived by: his parents, Luther Samuel Butler, Sr. and Ida Cheatham Butler; his children, Al Butler (Barbara) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Bob Butler (Debbie) of Florence, Vickie Coleman, Florence Monahan and Barbara Dan Monahan (Thomas) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Adam Butler (Angie), Brett Butler, Chad Butler (Dawn), Leigh Dodd (Paul) and Bryan Coleman (Crystal); his great grandchildren, Amber Butler, Cole Butler, Wyatt Dodd, Connor Coleman, Sully Coleman, Josh Moody (Nikki) and Austen Moody; and his great great grandchildren, Levi Butler, Trent Moody and Eli Moody.
