He was predeceased by: his parent Isaiah Echols; and his siblings, Harry Isaiah Echols, Eugene Echols, John Willie Echols, Ella Mae Echols Johnson, Willie Samuel Echols, Rebecca Echols Alli, Mary Lee Echols and George Washington Echols.
He is survived by: his parent Mae Ella Echols (Harrison); his sisters, Margie Echols Williams, Ruth Echols (Al Henderson) of Chicago, Carolyn Echols Shannon and Bessie Mae Echols Burgess; and his sister-in-law Bertie Mae Echols of Florence. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
