He was predeceased by: his wife Xenia; his parents, Jack Copeland and Alene Outlaw Copeland; his siblings, Wilbur "Pete" Copeland and Jackalene "Jackie" Searson; and his daughter Patricia "Patsy" Copeland Watts.
He is survived by: his son Lawrence "Larry" Copeland of Sanford, FL; his brothers, Michael Copeland (Pamela) of Hanahan, SC and Thomas Copeland of Charleston, SC; his granddaughter Melanie Markwordt (Timothy); his great grandchild Emmalee Markwordt of Jacksonville, FL; and his grandson Samuel Watts.
