He is survived by: his children, Steven Craig Heinz (Paula) of Union, SC, Michael Brooks Heinz (Karen) of Collingswood, NJ and Kimberly Fon Szögi (Ariel) of Florence; his grandchildren, Eric, Christopher, Nichole and Emily Heinz; his great grandchildren, Noah and Lilah; and his friend Mary Ferguson.
