She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelma Cody Wheeler and George Dewey Wheeler; and her siblings, George Dewey Wheeler and Nancy Joy Wheeler Brown. She is survived by: her significant other Ernest Bryant "Monck" Hinnant, Sr.; her sons, Ernest Bryant Hinnant, Jr., Coley Culpeper Hinnant (Shelley), Dewey Wheeler Hinnant (Vickie) and Cody McGill Hinnant; her nephew Marcus Dewey Brown; her niece Greta Ann Brown; and her grandchildren, Thomas Culpeper Hinnant, Caroline Reynolds Hinnant, Ernest Bryant Hinnant, III, Austin Rierson, Cecilia Rierson and Joseph Rierson. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and many cousins.
A memorial service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Waters-Powell Funeral Home (400 S Dargan St, Florence, SC 29506).
