It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Leslie Turner Jr. of Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on July 7, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leslie Turner Sr. and Willena Arnette Turner; his sister Ina Jean Gough; his son John L. Turner III; his father-in-law J. Edwin Pippin; and his grandson James "Max" Pickett.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria P. Turner; his children, Kathryn Pickett (Cody) and Christopher Turner (Stephanie); his grandchildren, John L. "Jack" Turner IV and Rylan Lingrosso; his nephews, Paul Galloway (Joy), Oliver Pippin Jr. and Alexander Pippin; his niece Charlotte Pippin; his brother-in-law Oliver Pippin (Priscilla); and his mother-in-law Elsie Pippin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Calvary Baptist Church at 915 Cherokee Road, Florence, SC 29501.
