He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Thayer and Ruth Thayer; and his brother Peter Thayer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Thayer; his sister Ann Nehrig (Norman Shepard); and his nephew Solomon Nehrig (Mary).
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Cross & Crown Lutheran Church (3123 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501).
