He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Woods and Maude Bean Woods; his wife Janell Woods; his grandchildren, James Woods and D. J. Stricklen; and his siblings, Ned Bean, Joe Woods, Mary Wike, Kat Teague and Glenna Combs.
He is survived by: his children, Lindon Woods (Dahlia), Regina Synder (John) and Candace Stricklen (Dickey); his siblings, Dean Woods and Phyllis Minton (Gary); his grandchildren, Barbara Berg (Andy), Dennis Woods (Laura), Debbie Faircloth (Brian), Clayton Stricklen and Coty Stricklen; and his great grandchildren, Zachary, Emily Berg, Leila Faircloth (Spencer), Bo Faircloth, Jacob Faircloth, Coty Stricklen, Jr., Audrey Sticklen and Brianna Faircloth. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Layton-Anderson Funeral Home (4210 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at the Florence National Cemetery (1009 Stockade Dr, Florence, SC 29506).
