He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Sam Meggs and Margaret Purvis Meggs; and his sister Margaret Ann Lancaster. He is survived by: his wife Henrietta Griffin Meggs of Florence; his children, Brenda Driggers (Butch), Darlene Walters (Jim) and Timothy James Meggs; his grandson Griffin Walters; and his brother Thomas Meggs.
