He was predeceased by: his parents, Jannie Adams Snipes and George Odell Snipes; his wife Gertie Mattingly Snipes; his sons, Glen Steven Snipes and Robert William Snipes (Cheryl); and his brother George Carson Snipes (Mary).
He is survived by: his sons, Dana George Snipes, Gary Alfred Snipes (Martha), Randy and Larry; and his sister Betty Snipes Dusenbury (Walter).
