She was predeceased by: her parents, Junius Preston Foxworth Sr. and Hessie Ellen Shackelford Foxworth; her significant other Alfred Vernon Powell Sr.; her siblings, Junius Preston Foxworth Jr., Dudley H. Foxworth, Herman Foxworth, Ernest Foxworth, Milton Foxworth, Raymond Foxworth and Alma Lee Scott; and her son-in-law Jack Young.
She is survived by: her children, Alfred Vernon "Sonny" Powell Jr. (Sandra) and Elaine Young; and her grandchildren, Michael R. Thigpen (Melissa), Allen T. Thigpen (Kelly), Tara Holloman (Howard), Kimberly Powell (Kim), Mel Young (Robin) and Jason Young (Wendy). She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
