She was predeceased by: her parents, William Earl and Elizabeth; her former husband Gene Franklin Benton, Sr.; her sister Shirley McCarter; and her cousin Peggy Key.
She is survived by: her husband Inman; her children, Hope Hanna (Evan) of Florence, Gene Benton, Jr. (Liz) of Florence, Bill Benton of Florence and Jim Benton (Carla) of Spartanburg; and her grandchildren, Lindsay McQueen (Jimmy) of Columbia, Leigh Dawson (George) of Florence, Lane Davis (Corey) of Florence, Holland White (Brent) of Florence, Lex Hanna (Brittany) of Florence, Will Benton of Florence, Jay Benton (Megan) of Greenville, SC and Wood Benton of Greenville, SC. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
