He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin S. Berg and Kate Flowers Berg; and his brothers, Pete Berg, Jimmy Berg and Joe Berg.

He is survived by: his wife Mildred "Billie" B. Berg; his daughters, Terrie Dickerson (Charlie) and Cindy Ivey (Gerald); his grandchildren, James Ivey (Claire), Emily Ivey (Irving), Katelin Ivey (Kenzie), Allison Berg, Benjamin Berg and Caroline Berg; his stepgrandchildren, Chris Dickerson and Curtis Dickerson; his great grandchildren, Seth Huffman, Sterling Huffman and Campbell Ivey; and his sister Beverly Connor (Bubba). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
