We are sad to announce that on January 1, 2023, at the age of 87, George D. Mims Jr. of Florence, South Carolina, born in Olanta, South Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George D. Mims Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dargan Mims, Sr. and Myrtie Caulder Mims; and his siblings, Eula Beverly Mims, Jetty Rue Mims, Irene Mims Taylor, Nell Mims Brown, John Wilson Mims and Lonnie James Mims.
He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Miller Mims; his children, Donna Leslie of Florence, Collete Richardson of Effingham and Christopher Mims (Amanda) of Evergreen; and his nephew Joseph D. Mims of Johnsonville. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
