He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles "Charlie" Jones and Edith Reynolds Jones; his wife Linda Gail Garris Jones; his children, Sarah Knicely (Kevin), David Jones (Alicia), Alison Simmons (Kyle), Anne Andrews (Richard), Shannon Berg (Darren) and Tiffany Martin (Derrick); his grandchildren, Dylan Berg, Mason Richardson, Blakley Richardson and Ashton Rambo; his niece Babbette Nelipowitz (Ken); and his nephew CJ Frazier (Fallon).

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
