He was predeceased by: his parents, Gillon King and Rebecca King; his son Shawn Wardell King; and his siblings, Lizzie, Brenda, Hattie, Alvin and James King.
He is survived by: his wife Janet L. King; his daughters, Monica King (Charles) and Roneshia King of Bishopville; his granddaughters, Myaasia Davis and Za'hria Gamble; and his siblings, Lillian King of Elliott, Hannah Smith (Tommy) of Society Hill, Charles King of Elliott, Johnny King (Josephine) of Columbia and Rickey Sittle (Karen) of Danville, VA. He is also survived by nine sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 232 Masters Drive, Sumter.
