It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Griffen Durant Jr. (Florence, South Carolina), who passed away on November 15, 2018, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, James Oliver DuRant, Richard Kenneth DuRant, Charles DuRant (Annette) of Biloxi, Irene D. Poole of Florence, Catherine Allen (Millard) of Florence and Virginia Baird of Florence.

He is survived by: his wife Frances Halford DuRant of Barnwell; his children, Anne Maddox (Keith) of Spartanburg and David G. DuRant III of Barnwell; his grandson Andrew Keith Maddox (Michele) of Inman, SC; and his children, Brodie and Anslie.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the Barnwell First Baptist Church 161 Allen St. Barnwell SC 29812.
