He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Bell Black; his children, Marquis Ellerbe (Kia Stevenson), Kristopher Taylor and Xavier Bell; his grandchildren, Nas'i Johnson, Mariah Ellerbe, Alayah Ellerbe, Marquis Ellerbe, Jr., Marki'a Ellerbe, Zyonna Wells, Kaliyah Taylor and Amina Taylor; his siblings, Barbara McGill (Leroy), James Black, Janet Brown (Sumter Street), Wendell Black, Betty Black, Cynthia James (John) and Colonza Black (Nicole); and his siblings-in-law, Rev. Vera Pearson (Richard), Marvin Green (Isabella), Douglas Al Green, Eric Green (Keneisha) and Carl Green (Kelly). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
