He was predeceased by: his parent Charles Truman Hodges; his half-brothers, Wilbur Tanner, Harold Tanner and Walter Tanner; his sisters, Mary Brown, Alice Gregg and Lena Hopp; and his grandson Barry Steven Hodges, Jr..
He is survived by: his parent Vera Munn Tanner Hodges; his spouse Gladys Medlin Hodges; and his sons, Barry Hodges (Frankie), Keith Hodges (Kellie) and Philip (Jamie). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
