He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Yarborough Luhrs and Charles Frederick Luhrs, Jr.; his spouse Jeddie Mae Wilson; and his son Charles Frederick Luhrs IV. He is survived by: his children, Robert (Donna) of Darlington and Renee Kennedy (Neal) of Florence; and his grandchildren, Whitney Wilke, Katie Coit, Wil Luhrs, O'Neal Kennedy, Abbey Kennedy Driggers and Sam Luhrs. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
