He is survived by: his wife Ruth Coble Filyaw of Florence; his children, Wendy R. Nichols of Charleston, SC and Jeffrey S. Starrett of Port Angeles, Washington; his brother Billy D. Filyaw of Coward, SC; his grandchildren, Michelle Nichols Herd (Christopher) of Aberdeen, Kevin Nichols of Charleston, SC and Sara Elizabeth Starrett of Seattle, Wash.; his great grandchild Alastair Herd; and his sister-in-law Sandy Filyaw of Marion, SC..
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Luke Lutheran Church (1201 Cherokee Rd, Florence, SC 29501). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
