He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Haire Kersey; his son Billy Charles McDowell, Jr.; and his siblings, Frances Harrington, Anna Lee Tarte, George McDowell and Laverne McDowell.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Kennedy McDowell; his children, Brad McDowell (Liza), Michelle McDowell and Monica McDowell; his grandchildren, Graham McDowell (Katie), Colin McDowell and Carson McDowell; and his brother Wendell McDowell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Residence of Brad and Liza McDowell (424 Guildford Cir, Florence, SC 29501).
