He is survived by: his wife Patsy Kennedy McDowell; his children, Brad McDowell (Liza), Michelle McDowell and Monica McDowell; his grandchildren, Graham McDowell (Katie), Colin McDowell and Carson McDowell; and his brother Wendell McDowell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
