With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Mae Gause of Florence, South Carolina, born in Effingham, South Carolina, who passed away on January 21, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Blease Norton and Minnie Bell Norton; her husband John Preston Gause; and her siblings, Evelyn Strickland and James Norton.
She is survived by: her children, Gerald Preston Gause and Barbara Crowley (Steve); her grandchildren, Becca Couick, Denise Canterbury, Allison Butler, Emily Mann, Adam Gause, Stephen Crowley (Carissa), Jordan Crowley (Chelsea) and Melissa Crowley; her siblings, John Norton (Pat), Robbie Norton (Becky), Jesse Norton (Kathy), Legrand Norton (Sandy), Janice Powell and Christine Brumett (Steve); and her friend Judy Mishowe. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
