He was predeceased by: his parents, Desmond Joseph Lance and Helene Duane Lance; and his siblings, Edward Lance and Nancy Lance Mudge. He is survived by: his wife Lela Rickenbaker Lance of Florence; his sons, Connor "Connie" Mouzon (Ray) of Summerton and James Noel Lance (Chris) of Charlotte, NC; and his grandsons, Connor Elizabeth Mouzon and Jon Arthur Mouzon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (915 Cherokee Rd, Florence, SC 29501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
