It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arbie Hugh Powell of Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on April 2, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vesper Powell Sr. and Maebelle Powell; his son Arbie Hugh Powell Jr.; his granddaughter Ella Elizabeth Powell; and his siblings, Vesper Powell Jr. and Addie Blanchard of Virginia.

He is survived by: his spouse Ellie Carol Banks Powell of Effingham; his children, Jennie Lynn Hacker (Chris) and Robert Dennis Powell (Rebekah) of Florence; and his granddaughters, Bailey Lynn Hacker, Christina Leigh Hacker and Avery McQueen Powell.
