She was predeceased by: her parent Eddie McKnight; her husband King Thompson; her sons, Bobby Thompson and Willie Graham; and her brothers, Eddie Lee McKnight and Marion McKnight.
She is survived by: her parent Marie Snow McKnight; her children, Gwendolyn Scott Napier (Leroy) of Camden, NJ, Mary McKnight of Bronx, NY, Shirley Davis (Allen) of Kingstree, SC, Carol Brown (Albert) of Columbia, SC, Ann C. Carter of Atlanta, GA, Donald Thompson of Columbia, SC, Mark Thompson of Columbia, SC, Deborah Thompson of Columbia, SC and Denear Thompson (Marcus) of Florence; her granddaughter Tattianna Hogg of Charlotte, NC; and her siblings, Vester Lee McKnight (Rena) of Hemingway, SC and Anna Marie Lester (Earl) of Boston, MS. She is also survived by seventeen other grandchildren; a host great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
