He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas (Efrosini Bakis) and Karpenisi; and his siblings, Christo Bakis, Andrew Bakis and Elizabeth Philippakis.
He is survived by: his wife Elefteria N. Bakis of Florence; his children, Frances Ray (Robert) and Thomas Bakis; his granddaughter Vanetta Hudson (Bradley); his great grandchildren, Kayli and Brooklyn Hudson; and his sister Xanthie Papaspyrou.
