She was predeceased by: her brother John Henry Gordon; and her daughter Janifer Lynn Lighten. She is survived by: her husband Arthur Lee Funches, Sr.; her children, Arthur Lee Funchess, Jr. (Wendi) and Lynette Parker (Darryl); her grandchildren, Adrienne Lighten, Alexis Lighten Wesley (Robert), Dionne Parker, Desiree Parker, Taylor Parker, Christopher Lighten, Arthur Enrique Funchess and Michael Lighten; and her siblings, Curlene Frazier, Louise Wright, Henrietta Simmons, Clara Evans, Wilbert Gordon (Sarah), Joe Lee Gordon (Ethel) and Jimmie Lee Gordon (Kathy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
