He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Stokes and Pearline Newton Stokes. He is survived by: his wife Arner R. Credle Stokes; his son Benjamin Brooker (Theresa) of Texas; his grandchildren, Giovanna Lozano, Sonya Brooker and Deantre Brooker; his brother Willie Thomas Stokes (Alice); his siblings-in-law, Milbert Credle, Darlene Montano and Mary Ann Robinson (Calvin); and his great-nieces, Teresa and Cricket. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
