He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy George and Angie Gilliam; and his siblings, Thomas, Ida Mae Looney and Carol Gilliam.

He is survived by: his sons, Brian Hank Gilliam (Becky) and Scottie Gilliam; his sisters, Hazel, Sue, Glenda and Sheryl; his grandsons, Andrew and Shane Gilliam; and his great grandchildren, Jaxson, Samuel, Emmalynn and Walker.
