She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe Glymph and Harriett Glymph of Fair Play, SC.; her husband John Thomas Spearman Sr.; her daughter Virginia; and her siblings, Margaret Bratton Crosby and Max Glymph (Lorene).

She is survived by: her children, Jean DeMars (Robbie) of Greenville and Tom Spearman of Travelers Rest; her grandchildren, Rion (Susan), Rushton (Maggie) of Travelers Rest, Rhett (Leigh) of Summerville and Corey Spearman (Jennifer) of Lyman; her great grandchildren, Rebekah, Hannah, Rhett, Beatty, Griffin, Claire, Mac, Hattie, Coy DeMars and Grant Spearman; and her caregivers, Ida Montgomery, Lisa Sharp, Thea Waters, Lois Gates, Dubi Hernandez and Nancy. She is also survived by mother, their children's grandmother.
